yesterday and today

Yesterday I managed to turn 37. It being the day before payday, we had no money. My dad offered dinner, so we jumped right on that. I saw my littlest brother and that was nice as I don't see him often.

When we were at the restaurant with my dad, there was a carnival midway thingy set up in the parking lot and we decided to come back today to ride a few rides.

Before we went to the carnival rides, we ate at a fast food restaurant where Silas got a plastic spoon. He held on to that plastic spoon from the moment we left the restaurant until we got into the van to go home, including while he was riding the rides. As soon as he was in his car seat he dropped it on the floor, it having served its purpose.

Neglected

Blogging about how you haven't blogged for a long time is awesome. Since I last wrote there have only been three developments (off the top of my head) that are worth telling about. One, Harper got two new hamsters. Their names are Mushaboom (or Mushy as we call her) and Salt.

 

These are not the greatest pictures, but they'll do. The second thing was that some hair-dying happened.

That look on Saren's face says, "I'm playing World of Warcraft, stop taking pictures of me." As for my part, I don't really like the two little streaks in my hair, but oh well. And I don't know if you can even tell that there's a difference with Irina's picture. I used red Manic Panic, but didn't bleach it, so it has a strong red tint to it, but it doesn't necessarily look unnatural.

The third thing is that we purchased a new laptop, which I am using right now. We have been having issues with not having enough computers to share between 6 people. Mainly this one is for me and Pat, but I'm open to sharing it. Sometimes. I tried fixing the old desktop with a Windows 7 CD and it didn't work. I may have to pay someone. I don't have a picture of the laptop, but I will instead include a picture of myself taken with it.
