December

Well, now December is literally right around the corner. Except that it can't literally be around the corner because a month is not a physical, tangible thing.

Let's move on.

Today I put up the Christmas decorations, including our stocking advent calendar. In the stockings there will be candies (one for each kid, each day) and in another advent calendar we have there will be little slips of paper with activities and such written on them. So far I have not come up with any sort of plan regarding what activities to do and when. Whoops! Here's to hoping I come up with something in the next twelve hours!

If you look very close maybe you can see our Christmas Yoda, who is praying with Mary and Joseph over the baby Jesus. I should knit him a tiny little Santa hat.

Hooray! Christmas is coming!

I don't even know what to blog about anymore.

I don't know if it's this way for everyone, but whenever I don't blog for a while and then I want to, it's like this huge effort. Like some huge hill I have to get over before I can get to the coasting part. Nothing I come up with to say seems right when it's been a long time since the last time I wrote. That's why I end up with random stuff posts separated with weeks of nothing.

November totally slipped away from me. It's almost completely over, but my brain is still stuck somewhere back on the 1st or 2nd. I keep telling myself that December is right around the corner, but I think I am a filthy liar. I must be. But it's getting cold.

We went to my mother's (a couple hours north of Vegas) for Thanksgiving and there was snow. Not much, but some, and my bottle of water froze in the van while we slept.

Last weekend, I took Saren on a mother/daughter date to see the new Harry Potter movie. We both liked it a lot and felt redeemed from our last theatrical Harry Potter experience and I think we both would have been perfectly to happy to sit in that movie theater for 5 hours to see the whole story. Even though I really really had to pee at the end of this one. That's what intermissions are for! I don't want to wait! That's so irritating.
