Nineteen Years Later

Well, it seems that Chuck is the winner in the first fake baby name poll. Technically Vera, Chuck, and Dave are grandchildren names, but I don't see how we're going to manage that. I guess Chuck will have to go on to the fake baby name poll blowout happening sometime in late April. That I just made up. In other news, this morning Pat took Chester to the vet to get fixed. Why do they say fixed? They should say broken. Pat took Chester to the vet to get broken. I had been hoping that she would last a couple more months, when we might have actual money to take care of it, but no. The past couple of days she's been walking up and down the hall meowing in the desperate, throaty way that female cats in heat have that says, "TAKE ME!!! PLEASE!!!" Poor cat. Poor incredibly annoying hussy of a cat. I am also hoping that this will calm her down because I am tired of her knocking fake branches off of our fake Christmas tree and dragging my good yarn all over the house every single night.
