Oh yeah! Blogging.

I almost forgot about blogging today. It was a Life Learners park day and I brought my camera so that I would have an easy blog when I got home, but I didn't take any pictures. Instead I spent most of my time doing what I always do: following Irina around and saving her from certain death. However! Also today I did a little bit of knitting in between the superhero stuff. Contrary to popular belief, Irina is not in constant danger. And when I say "popular", I mean "my", because I always think about bringing knitting to park days, but usually decide not to because I assume I won't have a moment to spare. But I have a monstrous list of Christmas gifts that I want to make for people and I'm feeling increasingly worried that it's not going to happen, so I went ahead and brought a project along. To my surprise, I got a fair amount done on it. It's a hat and I will probably be able to finish it tomorrow. I cast on yesterday. I've started and finished quite a few smallish projects in the past few weeks and it's felt great because for me knitting has meant starting something up and then letting it sit for months and months because I don't really feel like knitting. I feel like I'll keep up with it even when the holidays are over and (maybe!) even actually start getting better at it. And I know I've said every year that I would start making handmade gifts at the beginning of the year so that I would have lots of things already done by the time Christmas rolled around, but I'm totally going to say it again. Well, not actually, because I just did. Harper just got really inspired by these, and ran off to the kitchen to start making some. I hate reading anything without paragraph breaks that clearly needs them, so if you're actually reading this, I commend you.
